Leeds Conservatoire presents a night of new songwriting talent…

Tinesha Kinley
Gritty
yet pretty – Tinesha Kinley combines the perfect mix of moody alt rock
and twinkly indie pop. Her distorted guitar lays the foundation for her
soft vocals and confessional songwriting to rest upon. Inspired by other
queer artists like Phoebe Bridgers, The Japanese House and Japanese
Breakfast, her gut-wrenching yet playful and witty lyrics take centre
stage.

Katie Alice
20-year-old
singer-songwriter from Brighton, UK. Hailing from a musical family she
was drawn to the sounds of Britain’s burgeoning Nu-folk scene of the
2010s, citing influences such as Laura Marling, The Staves and Billie
Marten. Katie’s own songwriting style delivers the intimate lyric and
melody of the storyteller. However, contemporary pop and classical
sensibilities underpin and encompass her arrangements, offering a
distinctly unique voice and tone to the listener.
Within the last
year, Katie has formed a band of extremely talented musicians who have
crafted, shaped and encouraged Katie’s arrangements to come to life in a
live environment.

Nadia Kadek
‘Taking
inspiration from Sam Fender, Damien Rice and Phoebe Bridgers, Nadia’s
writing has a vulnerable honesty that is accompanied by warm acoustic
tones to create an intimate atmosphere. Her personal storytelling

Anneka Shelley
18-year-old
singer-songwriter with pop, folk and indie influences. She performs
frequently at events, gigs and and is a regular busker. She has recently
started booking for weddings and corporate events. She has a wide range
of material from honest and intimate originals to upbeat sing-along
classics. Anneka fell in love with writing songs and singing at a young
age after finding other songwriters on Youtube and becoming inspired to
take it up herself. Now, after hours of refining and perfecting own her
songs at gigs and performances, she’s developed her own unique vocal and
performance style.
